Nestle Hellas dismisses press reports on more relaxed regulations in dismissals

In a statement released by Nestle Hellas on Tuesday, company officials dismissed reports in the press alleging that the company had requested more relaxed regulations in workers’ dismissals during a meeting with Development Minister Costis Hatzidakis, AMNA reported.

“Neither Mr Raymond Franke nor any other representative of our company ever made such a request in their recommendations to improving business environment in Greece,” the statement read.

The company, which operates four companies in Greece and employes over 1,000 permanent workers, said that it was its strategic decision to remain in Greece and invest 8 million euros to modernize its factories and develop new projeccts.
