Romanian water utility grants plant engineering design contract

The Romanian water utility Compania Regionala de Apa Bacau SA awarded a contract valued at 42 million lei ($12 million) to a unit of Greece’s Aktor SA for engineering design services at a water-treatment plant.

The contract, initially valued at 64.3 million lei, is for upgrades to the plant in the eastern town of Bacau, according to a European Union notice published Thursday. The utility received six bids for the contract, the document showed.[Bloomberg]
