Luxury Costa Navarino starts housing development

A plan for developing luxury tourism accommodation at the Costa Navarino complex in the southwestern Peloponnese is set to begin this year, with a view to having the first tenants or owners moving in by 2014.

According to sources, the new accommodation will be developed in the first section of the holiday complex at Navarino Dunes, offering interested buyers four options based on size and type.

As of this season, the resort on the Messinian coast, on the Ionian Sea, will also benefit from the increase in flights operating from the nearby Kalamata airport. They will rise to over 300 per week, with Aegean Airlines, the country’s biggest carrier, linking the southern town to nine more foreign cities in five countries.

Services to and from Munich and Stockholm have already started. Furthermore, easyJet and Ryanair will fly twice a week from London and Milan respectively, while Lauda Air and Flyniki/Airberlin will link Kalamata with Austria and Germany three times per week.
