Attica governor announces subsidy program boosting employment
Attica Regional Governor Yiannis Sgouros has announced the development and implementation of a one-year program which will see the placement of 1,500 employees in subsidized positions at companies operating in Attica. The program’s budget is set at about 10 million euros.
According to Sgouros the program will resemble similar programs developed by the Manpower Organization (OAED).
Those eligible for the program will be unemployed people up to the age of 29 years specializing in professions which have been hard hit by the ongoing financial crisis.
The beneficiaries will be companies located in the Attica region.
