Passenger traffic at Piraeus port up by 25 percent, minister says

Passenger traffic at Greece’s main Piraeus port is up by 25 percent compared to last year, Merchant Marine Minister Costas Mousouroulis said Thursday.

Passenger vehicles volume has also increased by 40 percent, he said, describing the trend as “very encouraging.”

A total of 74 boats carrying some 77,600 travelers and 10,828 cars departed from the port of Piraeus en route to the Aegean islands between Friday – Wednesday.
