Serbs pick Greece for holidays

The vast majority of Serbian tourists (70 percent) has chosen Greece for its holidays this year, according to data collected by the Balkan country’s National Association of Travel Agencies (YUTA), Skai reports.

According to the YUTA survey Greece tops the destination list of Serbian travelers, followed by Turkey, Spain, Egypt, Tunisia, Montenegro and Croatia.

Meanwhile, a report published in Serbia’s daily Danas noted that sales of packaged holidays had risen by 20 percent in 2013 compared to the previous year.

According to the Danas report low-cost packaged holiday deals for Greece were sold-out for the May-June period in several Serbian travel agents, while a limited number of travel deals for high-season July and August were still available in other agencies.
