Two tourism products to woo more Chinese visitors

The Association of Hellenic Tourism Enterprises (SETE) is proposing a twin focus in the state’s strategy to attract more Chinese tourists, ahead of Prime Minister Antonis Samaras’s visit to China next week.

SETE head Andreas Andreadis says that in order to build on the approximately 100,000 Chinese tourists who come to Greece every year, the government must take steps to attract more visitors to the Aegean islands – especially Santorini – which is popular for weddings, as well as Athens and Thessaloniki in packages including visits to other cities such as Paris, Rome or Istanbul.
