Greece’s New Orders Index in Industry down by 12.7% in March

The New Orders Index in Industry in March 2013 fell by 12.7 percent compared to a year earlier, the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) said on Monday.

March’s decrease was a result of new orders for the domestic market falling by 14 percent and orders for the non-domestic market dropping by 12.7 percent.

“The average New Orders Index in Industry for the 12-month period from April 2012 to March 2013, compared with the 12-month period from April 2011 to March 2012 decreased by 7.1 percent,” added ELSTAT.
