ATHEX plans big New York roadshow

The Athens Exchange and the American-Hellenic Chamber are organizing the second investors’ forum in New York next month with the participation of 28 companies listed on the local bourse, up from 15 firms in the first forum.

As ATHEX President Sokratis Lazaridis told a press conference in Athens on Wednesday, this year’s roadshow on June 5-6 comes at a time when funds with the biggest exposure on the Greek bourse are based in the US, while other buyers come from the markets of Luxembourg, Cyprus and Great Britain.

Out of the funds that have declared their participation in the forum, just over half (54 percent) had also taken part last year, while the rest are participating for the first time. There are already 307 meetings arranged between foreign funds and Greek companies this year, compared with 267 in 2012.

The high- and medium-capitalization firms that will take part in the roadshow are Alpha Bank, Piraeus Bank, OPAP, OTE, Titan, Attica Bank, Hellenic Petroleum, Viohalco, Mytilineos, METKA, Intralot, ATHEX, Sarantis, GEK Terna, Ellaktor, Eurobank Properties, Folli Follie, Creta Farms, Bitros, Marfin Investment Group, Lamda Development, Kri Kri, MLS, Papoutsanis, Plaisio, Terna Energy, Thrace Plastics and Corinth Pipeworks.
