Tax revenue in first quarter within targets, ministry says
Tax revenue collected in the first quarter of this year was within the targets agreed with the country’s international creditors, the Finance Ministry said on Friday.
According to ministry figures, authorities collected 8.13 billion euros in the first quarter, just shy of the target of 8.17 billion euros, a divergence of 0.5 percent.
Authorities collected 6.20 billion euros in the first three months of 2013 compared to a target of 6.21 billion euros. In April, tax offices collected 1.92 billion euros, compared to a target of 1.97 billion euros.
