Some 50,000 apply for 10,000 positions in tourism training and work experience scheme

Ten thousand Greeks are due to find out on Tuesday if they have been accepted on a training and work experience scheme organize by Greece’s tourism industry.

Some 50,000 people applied for the program, the head of the Association of Greek Tourism Enterprises (SETE) Andreas Andreadis told Skai radio

The scheme includes 80 hours of training and paid work. Successful applicants will earn between 2,400 and 2,700 euros.
