Industry’s Producer Price Index fell by 2.7% y-o-y in April

The Producer Price Index in Industry (PPI) in April 2013 fell 2.7 percent compared with a year earlier, the Hellenic Statistical Authority said on Wednesday.

The PPI in April compared with March recorded a decrease of 1.3 percent. The index in April 2012 had recorded a decrease of 0.2 percent compared with March 2012.

The 12-month average index, from May 2012 to April 2013, compared with the same

index of the period from May 2011 to April 2012, increased by 2.3 percent. The previous year the twelve-month average index had increased by 7.1 percent
