Major tourism investment planned at Pieria

According to sources the state’s Public Properties Company has signed a contract for the 60-year lease of some 427,200 square meters at Skotina Pierias in central Macedonia with a company set up by Greek Americans Giorgos Deligiannidis and Christos Chionidis for a minimum price totaling 18 million euros.

The consortium that won the tender has committed to invest 40 million euros in the plot with the construction of a 206-room four-star hotel, 24 holiday bungalows totaling 443 beds, and the operation of a Class A campsite, among various other tourism installations.
