Corfu to get country’s first seaplane service
The northern Ionian island of Corfu is slated to acquire Greece’s first seaplane service following the implementation of legislation allowing for the establishment of seaplane harbors.
The service will be operated by Greek Water Airports, which has already submitted all the necessary licensing documents and is expected to launch its first flights over the Ionian within the next few months.
Within its first phase of operation, the company will offer chartered flights from the popular island of Corfu to its remote southern neighbors Othoni, Ereikousa and Paxi, while it will also conduct air tours for cruise passengers wanting to see the islands from above.
