Cost of construction materials in Greece fell by 1.5% over last year

The cost of building materials in Greece fell by 1.5 percent over the last year, according to figures published by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) on Monday.

The Material Costs Index in Construction of New Residential Buildings decreased by 1.5 percent in June 2013 compared with June 2012.

The index in June 2012 had recorded an increase of 0.7 percent compared with June 2011.

The Material Costs Index in June 2013 compared with May 2013 recorded a decrease of 0.1 percent, said ELSTAT. The index had recorded a decrease of 0.2 percent between June 2012 and May 2012.
