EFSF disburses 2.5bln euros for Greece

The European Financial Stability Facility disbursed 2.5 billion euros of new loan funding for Greece on Thursday.

“The European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF) disbursed today €2.5 billion to Greece for budget financing and debt servicing needs,” it said in a statement.

Greece is also due to receive another 1.5 billion euros from eurozone central banks who profited from purchasing Greek bonds on the secondary market.

The IMF also agreed on Monday to disburse another 1.7 billion euros in new loans to Greece.
