Competition Commission puts off Olympic-Aegean merger decision until Oct 16
The European Union’s Competition Commission has put off the final decision regarding the proposed merger between Greece’s Olympic Air and Aegean Airlines until October 16, following additional concessions made by Aegean.
The withdrawal of Cyprus Airways from a number of Greek domestic routes earlier this year has weakened the case for the proposed merger.
