Turnover and new orders keep falling for Greek industry
Turnover for Greek industry was down 5 percent and new orders fell 10.4 percent year-on-year in June, the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) said on Monday.
The steepest drops were in the sectors of computers, electronic and optical equipment (32.4 percent), mechanical equipment (26.8 percent) and furniture (25.6 percent).
By contrast, leather and shoes were up 58.8 percent in turnover.
In new orders, the steepest declines were in vehicles (77.3 percent) and other mechanical equipment.
