Pensions spending on target, says Labor Minister Vroutsis

Greece is meeting its targets for spending on pensions, said Labor Minister Yiannis Vroutsis on Monday.

He said 82.9 percent of the 10.5 billion euros set aside for pensions in 2013 had been spent on retirement since January. The target was to spend 83.3 percent, said Vroutsis.

October pensions amount to 2.3 billion euros and are paid to 2.7 million euros. The average pension, including supplementary packages, comes to 926 euros.
