Cyprus government to announce results of gas appraisal drill
Cyprus authorities were expected to brief reporters on Thursday on the results of a natural gas appraisal drill conducted inside the island’s exclusive economic zone (EEZ).
The results of the test drills, conducted by US firm Noble Energy in the area known as block 12 during the previous month, were to be announced by the country’s Energy Minister George Lakkotrypis.
Reports over the weekend suggested that results had failed to meet expectations.
