Only debt relief will help Greece, Soros tells Germans
Billionaire investor George Soros has said that investors will only return to Greece if the country’s debt issue is settled.
Speaking to the business editors of Germany’s Spiegel Online, Soros said that Greece would need further debt relief. «Everyone knows the country will never be able to pay back its debt,» he said.
Soros also warned that Germany had to rethink the austerity policies it favors in Southern Europe and said that if this approach does not change more extremist groups like Golden Dawn would emerge.
