Greece sells 14 state properties for 145.8 mln under lease back deal

Greece’s privatization fund announced on Monday that it had sold 14 state buildings to Eurobank Properties for 145.8 million euros under the sale and lease back scheme.

The Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund’s (HRADF) said that the total surface area of the 14 properties is 189,000 square meters. The buildings include those that house the Education Ministry, the Health Ministry, the Justice Minister and police headquarters in Athens.

The government will lease back the buildings for more than 14 millions per year for the next 20 years under the terms of the agreement, which is due to be finalized at the end of the year.
