Troika puts off meeting with Mitsotakis over civil service sackings

The meeting between troika representatives and Administrative Reform Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, due to take place on Monday afternoon, has been postponed, according to reports.

Ministry sources said that Greece’s creditors asked for the talks to be put off as they first want to hold a further meeting with Finance Minister Yannis Stournaras on Tuesday.

The two sides had been due to discuss Greece’s progress in meeting its target of sacking 4,000 civil servants by the end of the year.
