Grimaldi Group launches new Italy-Greece ferry service

Italy’s Grimaldi Group has announced a new ferry service linking Italy to the western coast of Greece, Travel Daily News reported on Tuesday, saying that the new service for the transport of rolling freight and passengers will commence on December 19.

The route will be serviced by the ro-pax ferry Euroferry Olympia, which has a loading capacity of 200 trailers and 600 passengers, the announcement said.

The Euroferry Olympia will depart from the Italian port of Ravenna on Wednesdays at 12 noon and Saturdays at 6 p.m., with arrival in Igoumenitsa respectively at 3 p.m. on Thursdays and 9.30 p.m. on Sundays, and in Patra at 10.30 p.m. on Thursdays and at 5 a.m on Mondays.

Departures from the Greek port of Patra will be on Mondays at 10 p.m. and on Thursdays at 11.59 p.m, while from Igoumenitsa on Tuesdays at 6 a.m. and Fridays at 9.30 a.m. with arrival in Ravenna on Wednesdays at 7 a.m. and Saturdays at 12 noon.
