Drop in firms dodging social security contributions in November

Checks on companies have shown that the number of employers not paying social security contributions has dropped, Labor Minister Yiannis Vroutsis said on Monday.

Just over 20 percent of firms checked in November were founding to be dodging contributions compared to 40.5 percent in February, Vroutsis said.

He attributed the drop to stiffer penalties that were introduced in September.
