Central government cash balance shows 221-mln-euro surplus

The central government cash balance showed a surplus of 221 million euros in the January-February period, compared to a deficit of 1.4 billion euros in the same period in 2013, data published on Friday by the Bank of Greece have shown.

Ordinary budget revenue amounted to 7.95 billion euros in January-February, compared to 7.5 billion euros in the corresponding period of last year.

Ordinary budget expenditure, including expenditure of about 20 million euros for the repayment of arrears, amounted to 8.55 billion euros, from 9.32 billion euros in January-February 2013.
