BoG reports primary surplus of 1.68 bln in Jan-Feb

The Bank of Greece announced on Friday a budget primary surplus of 1.68 billion euros for the year’s first couple of months.

The execution of the central government budget including interest payments produced a net surplus of 221 million euros, against a deficit of 1.39 billion euros in the same period in 2013.

Regular budget revenues in the year to end-February amounted to 7.95 billion euros, up from 7.48 billion last year, while expenditure amounted to 8.55 billion euros, down from 9.32 billion in January-February 2013.
