Troika to discuss energy liberalization in Greece
Troika officials are due to meet Greece’s Energy Minister Yiannis Maniatis on Monday to discuss the liberalization of the energy market.
The talks come in the wake of Greece passing a law last week allowing the sale of almost a third of its state energy monopoly, the Public Power Corporation.
The representatives from the European Commission, European Central Bank and International Monetary Fund are also due to meet Finance Minister Gikas Hardouvelis on Monday and Tuesday.
Their main aim will be to prepare the ground for the September review of Greece’s adjustment program.
