Troika visit as scheduled, ministry says

Reports of the Greek government requesting the postponement of an upcoming visit to Athens by top troika officials were unfounded, the Greek Finance Ministry announced on Tuesday.

Troika officials representing the European Union, the European Central Bank and the International Monetary Fund who are monitoring the Greek bailout program are expected in Athens on September 30.

According to ministry sources, Finance Minister Gikas Hardouvelis was expected to participate in a teleconference with troika officials on Wednesday.
