Athens hotels still a deal hunter’s dream this month
Athens hotels are charging an average rate of 79 euros per night for a double room this month according to online booking site Trivago.
This is the fifth-lowest rate among European capitals, a survey by the website shows.
In Greece the highest rates are to be found at Arachova and Papingo (96 and 94 euros/night respectively), in Thessaloniki (81 euros), Kalamata (80 euros), Nafplio (77 euros), Ioannina (69 euros), Metsovo (68 euros), Makrynitsa (64 euros), and then Kastoria, Patra and Nafpaktos, with an average rate of 63 euros per night.
