Passenger traffic at Athens airport flies higher
For the first time in five years November traffic at Athens International Aiorpoirt exceeded 1 million passengers.
Figures released on Wednesday by AIA showed that 1.04 million passengers used the country’s main air terminal last month, up 27.4 percent from November 2013.
The growth is thanks to both domestic and international travelers, as domestic traffic rose 38.7 percent year-on-year to 391,500 while international traffic climbed 21.4 percent to 647,000.
This followed a 28 percent increase in traffic on an annual basis in October.
