One in three households earns less than 10,000 euros

Over a third of Greek households (34.4 percent) had an annual income of no more that 10,000 euros last year, according to a survey conducted by the Hellenic Confederation of Professionals, Craftsmen and Merchants (GSEVEE).

A remarkably high 52 percent of all households had pensions as their main source of income, against 42.3 percent in 2012 and 48.6 percent in 2013, the report presented on Tuesday showed.

About one in five households has an unemployed member who has been out of work for at least 12 months, which means he or she is not entitled to any unemployment benefits.
