Greece’s IMF representative to step down

Greece’s representative to the IMF, Thanos Catsambas, will step down from his position in June, Kathimerini understands.

Catsambas, a former IMF official between 1979-2010, was appointed IMF representative in 2012 during the tenure of technocrat prime minister Lucas Papademos.

His resignation will take effect on June 1st. The reasons for his departure are not yet clear.
