Eldorado Gold appeals to Council of State over ministry ‘ambivalence’
Skouries gold mine operator Eldorado Gold has resorted to the Council of State against the Ministry for Production Reconstruction, Environment and Energy, asking for protection of its investment plans at Halkidiki from the «political ambivalence» of the new leftist government that allegedly counters «any sense of justice and state continuity by abusing its power.”
The company argues that the ministry’s delay in granting the licenses agreed on in the contract with the Canadian investors can only hurt the investment even though the firm has been vindicated by repeat court decisions.
