Speaking later, Development Minister Akis Tsochadzopoulos said the multicultural heritage of Greece and Syria provides a good basis for joint tourist packages, possibly also involving other countries in the region, to attract foreign visitors, especially from China and Japan. A protocol for cooperation in investment, promotion and training in tourism is due to be signed today. A Greek delegation of tourism entrepreneurs is projected to visit Syria in the next three months.
