HFSF head tenders resignation over court case

Anastasia Sakellariou, the chief executive of bank bailout fund HFSF, sent a letter of resignation to Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis on Friday after she was ordered to stand trial over her alleged involvement in the Hellenic Postbank loans scandal.

In her letter she stresses that she acted «entirely within the law.”

The minister has not yet said whether he has accepted the resignation.
