Eurogroup chief sees chance to get deal on Greece this week
Dutch Finance Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem, who chairs meetings on his euro-area counterparts, said that a fresh set of proposals to end a standoff over aid had been supplied by the Greek government earlier on Monday.
While they came too late for a thorough assessment, the proposals are seen as a positive step, Dijsselbloem told reporters in Brussels after a meeting of finance chiefs.
“It’s an opportunity to get a deal this week and that’s what we’ll work for,” he said.
