Stathakis says gov’t will not focus on large public works projects
Economy Minister Giorgos Stathakis pledged Wednesday that the government would not focus as much as previous administrations on large public works projects, preferring instead small and medium-sized projects that are more in tune with the needs of local residents.
"We are in a transitionary phase, as a cycle during which some people associated the country’s growth with large public works has come to a close," said Stathakis following a visit by Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras to the Infrastructure, Transport and Networks Ministry.
