Police station for visitors opens in central Athens

Interior Minister Panayiotis Kouroublis and Alternate Minister for Citizens’ Protection Nikos Toskas on Thursday opened a new police station at Klafthmonos Square in central Athens that will be run by the Tourism Police and is aimed at helping out visitors to the capital.

Staffed by specialized police officers who speak foreign languages, the office will handle any problems and a variety of incidents that visitors to Athens may face, ranging from the simple loss of documents or theft up to the issue of essential certificates.

The office will operate daily from 7.30 a.m. until 10 p.m.
