Loutraki Casino re-opens after settling tax bill

The Loutraki Casino re-opened late on Thursday after temporarily shutting down earlier in the day following an order by the Hellenic Gaming Commission (EEP) for not complying with a court decision to pay taxes of 1.8 million euros due over the last three months.

On Thursday, the casino’s management had acknowledged the debt, saying it would settle the tax bill by late Thursday.

Loutraki Casino had disputed the imposition of a 13 percent Gross Gaming Revenues Tax (GGR Tax), but a court decision in July ruled against it.
