Peanuts in professional property market

Just 100 million euros was invested in the first nine months of the year in the Greek market of professional properties, compared to the nearly 1 billion euros that was invested throughout 2014 and 400 million in 2013.

An analysis by property management company Savills Hellas showed that in the first half of the year just 42 million was invested, coming from two transactions only, including the purchase of historic Penteliko Hotel in the northern Athenian suburb of Kifissia.

Another 60 million was paid in August for the acquisition of nine Makro supermarkets by the Sklavenitis chain, through Grivalia Properties.
