Celestyal Cruises warns Piraeus problems are not being tackled

Celestyal Cruises, Greece’s main player in the local cruise tourism market and formerly known as Louis Cruises, has warned in a letter to Piraeus port and municipal authorities about the neglect displayed in tackling the problems of the country’s main cruise home port.
Problems include the issues of cleanliness and traffic at the cruise terminal, which give visitors a very bad first impression of mainland Greece. Already Celestyal has moved two of its three cruise ships from Piraeus to Lavrio.
Its officials state that, had the infrastructure at Lavrio allowed for it, the company would have brought all three ships there.
