Greek debt relief ‘on the table’ in bailout talks
Eurozone ministers will finally address debt relief for Greece, Eurogroup chief Jeroen Dijsselboem said Monday, meeting a key demand of Athens that has been resisted by its pro-austerity partners following its bailout.
"We have a long standing promise that if the Greek government fulfills its commitments … we will do what is necessary to make debt service manageable," said Dijsselbleom, the head of the Eurogroup of eurozone finance ministers.
"Today, … we made explicit that the discussion is on our table," the Dutch finance minister said.
