Journalists continue their strike, until 6 a.m. on Wednesday. Law associations across the country to continue striking until at least May 7.

Stores in Athens to open every day until Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. In Thessaloniki, stores will open at 10 a.m. instead.

The European Parliamentary Group of the Greens is sending a mission to Greece, led by co-president Philippe Lamberts. WEDNESDAY

The Panathenaic Stadium in Athens will host the Olympic Flame Handover Ceremony for the Rio 2016 Games at 5 p.m., in the presence of Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos and Brazilian Minister for Sports Ricardo Leyser. The event will include a program of dancing and music. Admission is free.

European Commissioner for Migration Dimitris Avramopoulos visits Catania in Italy to attend the opening ceremony of the new premises of the European Regional Task Force (EURTF).

The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) will publish its data on passenger and cargo traffic at Greek ports in the third quarter of 2015, and its February 2016 figures on road accidents.

THURSDAY

Blue-chip company Viohalco will release its financial figures for 2015.

The Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) will issue its February data on retail commerce turnover and its March statistics on industrial producer prices.

FRIDAY

Stores will be open from 1-7 p.m. due to the Greek Orthodox Easter holiday. The stock market will be closed, reopening on Wednesday, May 4.

SATURDAY

Stores will close at 3 p.m. and will not reopen until May 4 due to the Greek Orthodox Easter holiday and Labor Day.
