Week of mid-season sales starts on Wednesday
Greek retailers will be starting their mid-season sales on Wednesday, one day later than usual due to the transfer of the Labor Day holiday from Sunday to Tuesday.
The sales will last for one week and retailers hope business to pick up after a sluggish performance in the run-up to the Easter break.
Shops will also have the option to stay open on Sunday, May 8, when they can operate from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. This option is usually taken up only by larger stores or those on major high streets like Ermou in downtown Athens.
