Keranis building at Rendi to house Finance Ministry

After standing empty for 18 years, the building that was previously used as a warehouse by tobacco company Keranis on Thivon Avenue at Rendi, close to Piraeus, will get a new tenant in the form of the Finance Ministry.

Alternate Minister Tryfon Alexiadis announced this week that in the next two to three months the ministry’s agencies will start relocating from Syntagma Square in central Athens to the refurbished 42,300 square meter building that will be able to host 2,300 employees.

Sold to the state in 2014, the building also has 504 parking spots.
