OAEE asks for more support

OAEE, the social security fund for the self-employed, has seen its deficit increase and is again asking for additional financing via the special reserves of the Social Security Capital for the Solidarity of Generations (AKAGE).

After asking for 150 million euros from AKAGE last month to cover its pensions, the OAEE board decided last week to submit a request for another 200 million euros from the same account, which has 400 million in total.

Both demands have been sent to the Labor Ministry and a joint ministerial decision is expected for the disbursements to cover pensions to the end of the year.
