Amcham calls on Greek gov’t to implement bailout program
American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce head Simos Anastasopoulos has again called on the government to implement and take ownership of the bailout program, on the occasion of US President Barack Obama’s upcoming visit to Athens.
“The visit of President Obama to Greece constitutes an acknowledgement of the Greek efforts and a huge opportunity for the promotion of our positions on economic, geopolitical and migration issues. The US is Greece’s most reliable ally and strongest supporter of its position for the need to reduce austerity policies, arrange the debt and exit the crisis. Adopting the program and having a single government voice will send a significant message of commitment to reforms and strengthen US support,” he stated on Tuesday.
