Broadband use grows in Greece

Broadband internet connections in Greece posted a year-on-year increase of 5.7 percent at the end of June and a six-month rise of 2.4 percent, as the number of connections came to 3.52 million, or 32.43 percent of households, according to data released on Tuesday by the National Telecommunications and Post Commission (EETT).

This was supported by the increase in high-speed broadband connections (VDSL), which in June accounted for 6.5 percent of all broadband subscriptions, up from 4.1 percent a year earlier and 1.7 percent in December 2013.
