OTE makes progress upgrading infrastructure

The OTE Group announced on Wednesday the completion of the first phase of the country’s largest telecommunications infrastructure upgrade project in recent decades, with the increase in the number of street cabinets connected with optical fibers coming to more than 13,000.

This will soon allow for the extension of the fiber optic network to a total route length of 43,000 kilometers. The network will provide access for 2.9 million households and businesses in 650 areas around the country to the Cosmote network for fast Internet service.
